Everything's blue in this world

Yesterday I did another live painting event and, I have to say, I'm seriously proud of how the painting turned out.
I consider it unique in the sense that it's completely different from what I usually do, it's different even from the normal abstracts that I do. It turned out almost exactly how I saw it in my mind's eye, the colors, the size of the painting, I wanted it to have a little bit of texture and it's pretty much exactly how it was supposed to be.
I was painting for about three hours? I think that sounds about right. It was done in some kind of layer thing, for the purpose of first getting the colors in their place and because I wanted it to have some texture and since I didn't have anything to make texture with, I piled tons of paint on it.
Painting live is also completely different from regular painting, at least for me, usually when I work I'm pretty far from everything and everyone. With live painting, the tools are different, there's limitations of time, there's people looking over your shoulder, taking to you and taking pictures and it's something that I have to get mentally ready for, to be able to concentrate and isolate myself enough to work, but at the same time be able to interact with somebody, if it's necessary.
All those factors make the outcome pretty interesting, at least for me, I try my mental image of the piece to be as clear as possible and keep improvisation to a minimum, just because I normally take so long to finish something, I try to make it so that it won't take me so long to finish in the hours that I'm going to be working.

So this is my most recent live painting piece and I'm pretty seriously proud of it.

And a shot while I was working, just for shits and giggles =D
