"Butterfly Face" v. 2.0 and 3.0

I'm working on two other "Butterfly Face"s that I started last night. The profile one is my favorite of all three and for these last two, I'm using as model the wings of that butterfly that uses owl eyes to intimidate predators.

Right now they're only pencil and colored pencil over paper, but there's probably going to be some watercolor in there sometime soon, they complement each other well.

This one's "Butterfly Face 2"

And this one's "Butterfly Face 3", their numbering based on the order in which they were drawn, first was the three quarters one, then the profile one and then the front one.

That's all for now! See how much I've been posting? Ain't you proud of me? XD

Butterfly Face

I finished this drawing yesterday and I'm pretty proud of myself, because I finished relatively quick: Two days.
The title "Butterfly Face" reminds me of the expression "butter face" lol

Either way, "Butterfly face" is 8 x 10 inches, pencil, colored pencil and watercolor over paper and she is for sale at USD40.00.

Here she is!

I hope you like her and remember that I have a page in Facebook you should like if you haven't yet! Here's the link: Gabriela Handal Arte

Thanks for everything and see you in the funny pages!

Mandinka.

Finished and sealed this drawing last night.
It's titled "Mandinka", based on a Sinèad O'Connor song of the same name. Supposedly, the song is based on a book called "Roots" and it's some kind of historical novel that has to do with the Mandinka people in Africa.
I have no intention of reading the book and the drawing is more what the song means to me. Specially the lyrics: "I don't know no shame, I feel no pain, I can't see the flame", which are pretty great, if you ax me.
The drawing is 10 x 14 inches, pencil, colored pencil, watercolor and acrylic over paper <3
